Indoor Club Championships 2005.

On Sunday 12th March we held our annual Indoor Club Championships at Casterton Community College. This proved to be a very successful afternoon with over thirty club members taking part. Members of the club shot recurve, compound or longbow. The Lord and Lady Paramount for the shoot were former club members Mary and Paul Sproson. The round shot was a Portsmouth, which is 5 dozen arrows shot at a 60 cm target face at a distance of 20 yards. The judge for the shoot was club member Pam Tonkin, Pam is a very experienced judge being a National Judge.

After the shoot a buffet tea was enjoyed and the Lord and Lady Paramount presented the awards. A raffle was also held, many thanks to Margaret Pollard who sold the tickets, the proceeds from the raffle will go into the club's development fund.

Many thanks to all who made the day such a success, especially to Bob Tonkin who did the scoring, electronically (perhaps a first for the club champs?), Jill Gornall who prepared the information for Bob, Susan Custance who organised, and to Andrew Powell who became the official photographer after complaints about my photographic equipment, Andrew I think you have got yourself a permanent job!!
